Welcome to rent-carnow.com ("we," "us," "our"). The terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of our website and car rental services (the "Services"). Your access to and use of a vehicle and of our website is subject to these Terms. Please refrain from using our services if you are not in agreement.

1. Eligibility

These are the requirements to rent a car:

Have a minimum age of 21 (25 for some vehicle types).
Have a valid driver's license that has been in their possession for at least 1 year.
Present a valid credit and/or debit card that is in your own name.
Comply with any further requirements outlined on booking.

Service may also be denied to a customer whose requirements are not met, or to a customer whom we reasonably believe to present a safety or fraud risk.

2. Bookings and Reservations

Vehicles are subject to availability, all bookings are accepted subject to availability.
To confirm a reservation, an acceptable payment method is required.
Rental prices shown are a guide only and subject to change according to length of rental, rental location, extra driver, insurance cover, and taxes and fees that may apply.
Reservations may be cancelled or changed when a vehicle is not available, notice will be given as soon as reasonably practicable.

3. Payment and Charges

Payment—either full or partial—may be requested at the time of the booking and the remainder should be paid on collection.
A security deposit might be taken from your card and after a vehicle is returned in good standing, the money is returned.
Late return, fuel short, cleaning, toll, traffic fines or damages may incur additional charges.
All fees will be disclosed prior to or at the time of rental.

4. Rental Period and Vehicle Return

Rental period is from the time of pick up and ending at the agreed return time and place.
There may be surcharges for late returns per day.
Unless a prepaid fuel option was selected from the vehicles, they should be returned as they were picked up.
Return vehicles are to be sent back in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear.

5. Driver Responsibilities

The renter and any other authorized driver agree to the following:

Drive the vehicle carefully and safely, and obey all traffic regulations.
Never drive while drinking alcohol, on drugs, or with any substance that affects your driving.
Do not use the vehicle for illegal purposes, racing, towing, or subletting.
Not permit any unauthorized person to operate the vehicle.
Report any accident, theft, or mechanical problem with haste.

Failure to adhere to these conditions could lead to termination of the rental agreement and fee payment at the time.

6. Insurance and Liability

Basic liability coverage (where applicable by law) is included unless otherwise noted.
Optional insurance products (such as collision damage waiver, personal accident insurance) may be available when booking/picking up.
The renter agrees to cover for damages, loss or theft of the vehicle if the damage occurs during the rental period and is not covered by the insurance purchased by the renter.
We are not liable for personal belongings left in or lost from the vehicle.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

24 hours advance notice cancels are eligible for a full refund.
After this time any cancellations may incur a cancellation fee or deposit may be forfeited.
No-shows will be kept to full reservation fee, unless otherwise indicated in your rate plan.

8. Vehicle Condition and Maintenance

Vehicles are warranted to be in roadworthy condition! Tenants are responsible for checking the car in on them and if the tenant finds the car is in any way damaged, the tenant must notify the dealer. Damage that is not reported at pick-up may lead to the renter being held liable for the damage.

9. Prohibited Uses

Vehicles are not allowed to be used for:

Fare and/or freight carriage for public transport to and from an agreement.
Driving off the road (except when it is expressly made for this purpose).
Transport of hazardous materials.
Any activity that infringes local, state or national law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, rent-carnow.com shall have no liability whatsoever for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages suffered by our user as a result of the use of our Services, such as loss of income, inability to attend events, or delays in travel.

11. Privacy

You provide personal information which is collected and processed under our [Privacy Policy] as part of this Terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If you continue to use our Services after we post updates, you agree to the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

The laws of [Jurisdiction] govern these Terms without the application of the conflict of law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of United States.
